Dr. David Liang joins Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fredericksburg

Dr. David Liang, physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, has joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fredericksburg as a fulltime member of the hospital’s medical staff, effective August 31. In this role, Dr. Liang will work with patients to restore functional ability following a serious disease or injury.

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fredericksburg is proud to announce a partnership with the Amputee Coalition, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people affected by limb loss and limb difference to achieve their full potential through education, support, and advocacy, and to promote limb loss prevention.

Gardening and spending time outdoors enhances vitamin D absorption and improves bone strength over time. When folks see their plants grow and eventually produce fruits and flowers, it can improve self-confidence and elevate mood. Community gardening at Encompass Health Fredericksburg helps our patients socialize, bond and relax. Arjun Hariharan, senior physical therapist, helps to lead our gardening program so that patients have a healthy hobby to continue at home upon discharge.

Fredericksburg REACH Junior Beta Club member Weston Roman and his mother, Yvette, presented Heather Hirons, RN, with goodie bags on Valentine's Day to deliver to our patients. Staff and patients are thankful and appreciate your club's generosity. "My father was a patient here a few years ago and we had a phenomenal experience,” Yvette said. “The overall environment was ideal for him to focus on his physical and mental wellbeing. It helped work toward his successful recovery."
