Chief Executive Officer
Julie Taylor is a West Tennessee native growing up in Puryear, Tennessee. The majority of her 25 years of experience has been in post-acute rehabilitation across a diverse range of settings across West Tennessee including skilled nursing, home health, pediatrics and inpatient rehabilitation. In 2002, Julie earned her Assistive Technology Practitioner certification and has performed many custom wheelchair evaluations during her career. Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. In 2017 she earned her MBA at Bethel University.
Medical Director
Dr. Davidson Curwen is a board-certified physiatrist who serves as the medical director for West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson. Prior to the hospitals opening in July 2017, he served as the medical director for West Tennessee Rehabilitation Center since 1992. He also has a private practice clinic, West TN Rehab Group, where he specializes in guided pain and spasticity management using an array of procedures. Dr. Curwen received his medical training at the University of California at Los Angeles and completed residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York, New York. His memberships include: American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Southern Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; American Institute of Ultra-Sound in Medicine; and American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Curwen is an independent private practice physician.
Director of Case Management
Latonya Barnett is a master’s level social worker who started her career in social work in 2010 at West Tennessee Healthcare as an inpatient social worker in acute care before coming to West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson in 2013. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee-Martin and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Director of Quality and Risk
Heidi Bunting joined the staff of West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson in 2017 as a speech-language pathologist and became the director of quality and risk management in August 2020. She received her master's degree in communication disorders from the University of Central Missouri in 1998. Heidi is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, with a special interest in dysphagia. With more than 22 years of experience in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient, acute care, long term care and rehabilitation, she brings a passion for quality patient care. Heidi’s focus is to achieve continuous improvement in patient satisfaction initiatives, quality reviews and advanced hospital certification.
Director of Therapy Operations
Trisha joined West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson in October of 2018 as the director of therapy operations. She has been a part of the Encompass Health network since 2008 when she started as a staff physical therapist. In addition, she has held the positions of physical therapy lead and physical therapy manager prior to being promoted to this role. Trisha graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette Campus, in 2004 with undergraduate major of athletic training then went on to achieve her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008 from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. In 2013, Trisha received her Neuro-Developmental Treatment certification and in May of 2017, Trisha became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School of Lymphedema. Trisha has achieved the Clinician Specialist III designation from Encompass Health and continues to treat patients with a variety of diagnosis in the inpatient setting.
Director of Human Resources
Tasha joined West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson in August 2017 as the director of human resources. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance. Tasha brings more than 12 years of experience in human resources with nine of those in healthcare human resources. She is an active member of SHRM and also a member of the local West TN SHRM.
Chief Nursing Officer
Brad joined West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital in August 2021 as chief nursing officer.
Facilities Management Director
William Jones joined West Tennessee Rehabilitation Hospital in April 2021 as the facilities management director. He brings more than 30 years of management experience with 16 years of plumbing, electrical, and building experience. Will served 24 years in the U.S. Army, before retiring in 2004. He also flew Medevac in Louisiana and taught EMT-P courses at the Academy of Health Sciences in San Antonio, Texas.
Business Development Director
Amy serves as the business development director and was promoted to this role from her former position as a senior rehab liaison with West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson that she started in early 2016. While attending school, she worked as a technician and intern at the West Tennessee Rehabilitation Center; and after receiving her registered nurse degree in 2007, she continued her work with rehabilitation patients first as a staff floor nurse and then a nurse liaison. She also has experience serving as a rehab liaison for rehab care where she continued providing all inpatient rehabilitation services for the hospital.
Director of Pharmacy
Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and doctorate degree of pharmacy from Ole Miss. He worked as a community pharmacist before joining the Tennova Volunteer Martin as a staff pharmacist. Kyle joined West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson in May 2017 and enjoyed the challenge of opening a new hospital pharmacy. Outside of work, Kyle serves as a board member of Women’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program and the Weakley County Adult Leadership Program. He also serves as a student mentor for the Tennessee Promise Program and a mock interviewer for the Ned Ray McWherter Institute on the campus of University of Tennessee at Martin. Kyle is a graduate of the Weakley County Leadership Program and WestStar Leadership Program. In 2013, Kyle founded the Robert C. Lusby Memorial Scholarship that is awarded yearly to a graduating senior of Greenfield High School.
Controller
Anita Ricketts joined West Tennessee Healthcare Rehabilitation Hospital Jackson in October of 2018 as the controller. She brings more than 18 years of accounting and financial management experience with a primary focus on operating results and profitability driven by process improvements. Anita graduated from Union University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. In addition, she has served as a business consultant and is licensed as a State of Tennessee Insurance Producer for Life and Accident & Health and is licensed as a State of Tennessee Realtor.
