Michael Bartell named Area CEO within Encompass Health’s South Central Region

Michael Bartell has been appointed as area chief executive officer within Encompass Health’s South Central Region. In his position as area CEO, Bartell will oversee all of the day-to-day operations and patient care and quality at two Alabama hospitals – Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeshore in Birmingham and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shelby County in Pelham. He assumed the position on November 7, 2021.

Have you experienced a stroke or brain injury resulting in weakness? Would you be willing to serve as a practicum participant in a neurodevelopmental education course? The course is being held at Encompass Health Lakeshore April 27-May 8 for licensed physical and occupational therapists. Part of their training includes hands on application of the skills they learn. Practicum sessions are a minimum of 1.5 hours, and sessions are offered in mornings and afternoons. If you are interested in participating, contact Kristina Schroder at 205-761-0750.
