Ivette Miranda joined Encompass Health in October 2014 and brings more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience to her role. Ivette graduated with a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a master's of business administration from the University of Phoenix. Ivette's extensive experience includes acute care hospital leadership roles including chief operating officer, associate administrator and business office director. In addition, Ivette provided several years of healthcare consulting services to acute hospitals throughout the country.

After undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama, Dr. Chastain graduated from medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1988. He completed internship and residency in internal medicine at UAB in 1991 and began practice in Dothan, Alabama the same year. During his time in Dothan, he gained 16 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation with Encompass Health including functioning as the medical director. He completed a fellowship in vascular medicine in Greenville, South Carolina in 2012 and is now board certified in internal medicine and vascular medicine. Special interests include peripheral arterial disease, stroke prevention, venous thrombosis, noninvasive vascular testing and vascular rehabilitation. He and his wife Sheila have been married for over 30 years and have two children.

Dr. Chastain is an independent private practice physician.

Christina has been with Encompass Health since 2019, bringing nine years of management/employee relations experience to the team. Christina has held various positions in her time with the company, including administrative assistant in the human resources department and human resources coordinator. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Palm Beach State College and is currently pursuing her master's degree in business administration from Capella University.

Maria is passionate about creating a culture of safety in healthcare. She brings more than twenty years of experience across the healthcare continuum. Prior to joining the Encompass Health team, she served as the director of quality, risk, infection prevention and the patient safety officer for Broward Health Coral Springs Hospital. Maria has been a registered nurse for over 18 years. She holds an associate degree in nursing from Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, Massachusetts, a bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York at Albany, a master's degree in business administration from Louisiana State University at Shreveport and is a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Charmaine brings 16 years of healthcare leadership experience to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Martin Health. She graduated with an Associate of Science in nursing from Broward Community and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She also has her Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. Charmaine’s experience includes acute care hospital leadership in assistant chief nursing officer, director of inpatient surgical services, clinical manager and nursing supervisor.

Jennifer joined Encompass Health in June 2016 and brings more than 20 years of nursing and leadership experience to her role as director of case management. She graduated from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences in Orlando, Florida with an associate degree in nursing in 2002 and a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2003. Jennifer’s experience includes acute care, quality and acute rehabilitation. Jennifer works with her team to ensure our patients and families are provided with the support and resources needed to ensure a safe and effective transition back into the community.

Billy is the facilities management director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Martin Health, in Stuart, Florida. He has 20 years of maintenance experience, over 10 of which have been with Encompass Health. Billy graduated from Louisiana Tech University before stepping into a maintenance supervisory role. His professional passion and contribution to healthcare is to encourage others to work hard and succeed.

Claudia brings more than 15 years of clinical pharmacy experience and nine years of pharmacy leadership to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Martin Health.  Claudia graduated with her doctorate of pharmacy degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she continues to precept pharmacy students. Claudia is passionate about making a difference for patients by ensuring they receive the safest and most effective pharmaceutical care.

For the past 20 years, Kathy O’Hanna’s focus has been in healthcare marketing and business development. She has experience working in pharmaceutical sales, durable medical equipment, home health care and hospice. Most recently, she served as the division director of sales and business development for Life Care Centers of America. In her role, she was responsible for the oversight of the admissions and marketing teams for 21 skilled nursing facilities throughout the Florida. Her favorite part of healthcare marketing is the primary focus on the patients and those who care for them. Kathy earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Florida State University.

Christa serves as director of therapy operations at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Martin Health. She joined the Encompass Health team more than 14 years ago as an occupational therapist. She has held various positions including senior occupational therapist, therapy team leader and most recently therapy manager. She graduated in 2003, from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy with honors. Inpatient rehabilitation has always been Christa’s passion with the patient experience being her priority. She enjoys helping patients return to functioning in their homes and communities.

Dawn brings more than 15 years of healthcare financial management experience to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Martin Health. Her prior experience includes acute-care as well as various healthcare management companies. Dawn received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She has been a resident of Stuart, Florida for over 20 years.
