Steven entered Encompass Health Miami unable to bear weight on his left leg, making his self-care and mobility extremely difficult. He learned various adaptive techniques in order to regain his independence. Steven participated in our inpatient rehabilitation program and received physical, occupational and speech therapy. Today, he is preparing for discharge home. Congratulations, Steven!

As part of Stroke Awareness Month, a stroke education Zoom presentation was given to The Town of Cutler Bay Active Adults. The topics were stroke rehabilitation, prevention, how to identify a stroke and the importance of rehabilitation.
