At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Murrieta, we serve the surrounding area as a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Perry is responsible for the day-to-day operations for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta. He began his career as a physical therapist after receiving his master’s degree in physical Therapy from Chapman University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from California Lutheran University. Perry advanced his career and most recently worked as an Enterprise vice president of an acute care system. Having worked as a hospital executive for more than 15 years and in the healthcare industry for more than 28 years, Perry has a great deal of experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Perry is passionate about ensuring patients and families have an exceptional experience when receiving care from the team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta.
Director of Quality and Risk Management
Deena Berry is the director of quality and risk management for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta. She brings more than 20 years of claims, regulatory, legal and quality improvement experience to the team along with a focus on creating a positive patient experience. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s in healthcare administration and a Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) from the American Hospital Association. She is an active member of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) and National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
Ted Ellinger, BSN, RN, PHN, worked at a multi-hospital system in Southern California as the director of infection prevention before joining the Encompass Health team in 2019. He obtained his registered nurse license in 2014 and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of nursing. He has been an infection preventionist for 4 years and is an active member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Inland Empire chapter.
Chief Nursing Officer
As chief nursing officer, Linda Frazier leads the nursing team, respiratory care practitioners and the clinical dieticians in the hospital. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island in 1992. Then, in 2015, she continued her education to receive her Master of Science in Nursing. Linda has experience providing care and leadership in a variety of medical, surgical and procedural areas within the acute care setting. In addition, she serves as an adjunct nursing instructor and strives to advance the nursing profession. Linda is a valuable asset to the team and looks forward to providing incomparable care for the patients at Encompass Health Murrieta.
Director of Facilities Management
As the director of facilities management, Shane leads the environmental services team and oversees facility maintenance, security management, environment of care and life safety. He began his career in healthcare as an engineering technician in 2004. As an active member of California Society for Healthcare Engineering with 16 years of experience in the field, Shane is devoted to make every patient’s stay as comfortable as possible and looks forward to using his knowledge to ensure that Encompass Health Rehabilitation of Murrieta continues to run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Director of Human Resources
As the Director of Human Resources, Juni is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of human resources management. Prior to joining Encompass she served as HR Generalist and Patient Relations/Risk Manager in the acute care setting. Juni brings more than 20 years of experience as a certified Professional in Human Resources demonstrating mastery of employment law, regulations and human resource management practices unique to the state of California.
Business Development Director
Chanel Mabry, Certified Director of Case Management, began at Encompass Health of Richmond, Virginia, in 2007 as a receptionist. She fulfilled numerous positions at this location, which eventually lead her into a case manager role, where she staunchly advocated for patient rights and satisfaction. In 2018, Chanel was promoted to director of case management at Encompass Health of Petersburg, Virginia, and then transitioned to the Murrieta hospital in California. Chanel earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in clinical social work and continues to advocate for the best outcomes for the hospital’s patients.
As the controller of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta, Duane oversees all financial aspects of the facility. With more than 30 years of experience and having obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration, he brings exceptional expertise and valuable knowledge to his role. Duane looks forward to ensuring that Encompass Health Murrieta remains economically efficient while providing exceptional care to its patients.
Director of Therapy Operations
Eric has been practicing in the field of occupational therapy for 14 years. After obtaining a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Loma Linda University in Southern California in 2006, he began his career in inpatient therapy rehabilitation and never looked back. He found his calling in this setting, as he saw monumental changes in patients function during their rehabilitation stay. Eric also serves as a curriculum advisory to Loma Linda University Occupational Therapy program and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Director of Pharmacy
Bill Turner is the director of pharmacy for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta. Bill and his team are responsible for all medication use processes at the hospital. Bill has been a pharmacist for almost 40 years and in pharmacy leadership roles for 20 years. Bill grew up in the Midwest and attended pharmacy school at University of Wisconsin – Madison. In 2018, he finished his master's degree in health care administration degree. His previous experience has been in acute care hospitals and Bill brings a special expertise in customer service and regulatory compliance, and a desire to provide excellent and compassionate care to our rehab patients.
