Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of New England now offering all private rooms

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of New England in Woburn moved to private rooms for all patients beginning September 8. The hospital now offers 87 private rooms for inpatient rehabilitation patients recovering from a serious injury or illness.

Karen Martin, RN, an infection control nurse at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of New England in Woburn, Massachusetts, was recently recognized by Boston News 25 as someone who has gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic. In turn, Karen shared her gratitude for the support from her community and her colleagues at the inpatient rehabilitation hospital.

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of New England received the Post-acute Collaborative Participation Award from the Paul Coverdell National Acute Stroke Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH). The award recognizes post-acute facilities that participate in the Collaborative and have shown dedication in improving the care stroke patients receive in the post-hospital setting in calendar year 2018.
