Chief Executive Officer
Kayla Feazell serves as the CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola. Prior to her current role, she served as the CEO of Encompass Health’s hospital in Gadsden, Alabama and as the associate administrator at Encompass Health’s hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. Her experience also includes serving as the controller at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land and a variety of roles with Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital in Katy, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Huntington College and her master’s in business administration from Tulane University.
Medical Director
Dr. Kalman joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola in September 2021. He graduated from Yale University where he was a two time All-Ivy and All- East football player. He decided to hang up his cleats and hit the books and attended UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Kalman completed his residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. He did a fellowship in spine and pain at the University of Florida and Shands hospital. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Director of Therapy Operations
Claire serves as our director of therapy operations. She began her Encompass Health journey as the therapy team leader in Pensacola when the hospital opened in 2021. She has worked in several inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and is a certified brain injury specialist as well as the hospital's stroke program champion. Claire completed her bachelor's degree in health science in 2009 and master's degree in occupational therapy in 2010 both at the University of Florida.
Facilities Management Director
Randy Chandler joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola as the facilities management director in April 2021. He transferred from Encompass Health’s hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, where he served as the facilities management director since 2019. He has more than 26 years of facilities management experience and 39 years electrical and plumbing background. He attended Tennessee Technology Center of McKenzie and received a diploma as electrician in industrial maintenance. In addition, he attended Jackson State Community College to become an emergency medical technician and is currently a licensed AEMT in Tennessee.
Director of Human Resources
Kim Franklin serves as the human resources director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola. A native of the Pensacola area, Kim began her career in human resources at a local utility company before moving into human resources at West Florida Hospital, where she gained valuable experience in healthcare human resources. She earned a bachelor's degree from Waldorf University, and holds certification through the Society for Human Resources Management. In her role, Kim focuses on fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce and creating a culture that makes employees proud to come to work every day.
Director of Quality & Risk
Erin, a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), serves as our director of quality and risk management. She began her Encompass Health journey as the hospital educator and infection preventionist in Pensacola when the hospital opened in 2021. She has worked in various states and settings within acute care, cardiac rehabilitation and nursing education, both in classroom and clinical instruction. Erin completed her bachelor's degree in nursing from Saint Louis University in 2002. Prior to pursuing her nursing degree, she graduated from Georgia Southern University with her bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a master's degrees in exercise science. She is currently finishing her master's degree in nursing, majoring in healthcare leadership. She uses her passion for education and interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration to promote excellence in quality and patient-centered care.
Director of Pharmacy
Bob serves as director of pharmacy at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola. He is responsible for developing clinical and educational initiatives designed to optimize drug therapy and help patients of all ages achieve positive clinical outcomes. Dr. Javan earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in Atlanta and joined Encompass Health in 2021.
Business Development Director
Kim Miller, business development director for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola, started her career in medical marketing more than 18 years ago. Her sales background includes the areas of surgical instruments, respiratory medications and home health services. Kim, a Wright State University graduate, joined Encompass Health eight years ago as the business development director of the Company’s hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Through her role, she enjoys building and maintaining relationships while promoting the benefits of inpatient rehabilitation.
Chief Nursing Officer
Jessica Vinson serves as the chief nursing officer at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola. Prior to joining Encompass Health, she served in several nursing leadership roles for a large acute care organization. Jessica earned her associate degree in nursing at Darton State College and completed her bachelor’s of science degree in nursing with Western Governors University. She is currently finishing her master’s of science degree in nursing with a concentration on leadership.
Associate Administrator
Heath joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola as associate administrator in July 2023. He was controller for Encompass Health Pensacola starting in May 2022 before moving to his current role. He has over twenty years of healthcare account experience. Heath graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1999 and earned his master’s degree in business administration from Troy University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Alabama.
Director of Case Management
Melissa serves as the director of case management at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola. Prior to joining Encompass Health Pensacola, she worked at two major acute care hospitals. Melissa earned her nursing degree while working as a CNA. She obtained her associate degree from Rio Grande University and later received her bachelor’s degree from Western Governors University.
Controller
Brad joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pensacola as the controller in August 2023. A Mississippi native, Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Mississippi in 2015 and began his career at an acute care hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. He moved to the coast to work as a staff accountant and later worked as a financial controller in various industries for more than seven years. He is excited to return to a healthcare setting.
