Shivani joined The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis in 2007 starting her career at TRISL as a physical therapist and has served in a variety of hospital leadership roles. Shivani completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware, graduating in 2004. She then earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University in 2007.

Dr. Boeving started at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis in July of 2022, and was appointed medical director in February 2023. Dr. Boeving is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and specializes in cancer rehabilitation, complex medical issues, multi-trauma, spasticity management and stroke rehabilitation. Dr. Boeving earned a medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida. As the medical director of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, he actively participates in the daily efforts to advance the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of rehabilitation care provided. His hobbies include cycling, photography, entomology, hiking and horticulture.

Dr. Boeving is an independent private practice physician.

Kara Barks currently serves as the director of therapy. Kara joined Encompass Health in 2015. Kara completed her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Saint Louis University. Prior to becoming the director of therapy operations at the St. Peters location Kara served as the occupational therapy team leader and the manager of the St. Peters therapy department.

Ashton joined The Rehabilitation institute of St. Louis is 2017 as a rehabilitation liaison. She currently serves as the area business development director over the three St. Louis TRISL locations. Ashton has more than 15 years of experience in admissions, marketing, business development and leadership across the post-acute care continuum. Ashton earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in 2003.

Kelli joined The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis west county as chief nursing officer in January 2024. She has been a registered nurse for over 20 years and has held various management and leadership positions throughout her career. Kelli has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Western Governor’s University and a masters degree in healthcare administration from Webster University. I have been a Registered Nurse for 24 years.

Dr. Cole is a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He obtained his M.D. from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and then completed his internship at Washington University in St. Louis within the department of internal medicine. He then completed three years of specialty training in the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as chief resident. As a physiatrist, he specializes in the management of conditions that impact a patient’s function and quality of life such as musculoskeletal disorders, post-amputation management, prosthetics/orthotics, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuropathy, geriatric rehabilitation, cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, movement disorders and general debility.

Dr. Cole is an independent private practice physician.

Mary joined Encompass Health in 2022 with more than 15 years of human resources experience. She relocated from Cape Coral, FL to join The Rehabilitation Institute of Saint Louis – West County. She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri – St Louis. Mary’s passion in human resources is growing and cultivating an engaged team of patient-care providers and believes in taking care of employees so they can take care of patients.

Kristen is the case management director for The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis - St. Peters and West County. Kristen joined Encompass Health in 2017. Kristen completed her master's degree in social work from St. Louis University in 2011. Prior to becoming the director of case management, Kristen served as the senior case manager at the St. Peter's location.

Chris has served in his role as facilities management director at Encompass Health St. Peters and West County since February 2024. He has more than 10 years’ experience in facilities management, which includes eight years in a healthcare environment. Chris graduated from Vatterott College with his associate degree of applied science - HVAC. Chris has been an active member of the Missouri Society for Healthcare Engineering (MOSHE) since 2018 and is a United States Marine Corps Veteran.

Jackie joined The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis in January 2022. She serves as the controller and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Missouri. Prior to joining TRISL, Jackie had more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, most recently at a large acute care health system.

Angie serves as the area director of quality and risk management for The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis’s three area locations; Central West End St. Louis, St. Peters and Town & Country. Angie has been with Encompass Health for more than 20 years. She holds certifications in healthcare quality, healthcare risk management and has a bachelor's degree from Webster University.

Matt completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2014 and his ASHP Accreditation Standard for Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency in 2015. During Matt’s tenure in pharmacy, he has held supervisor and leadership positions. Matt joined Encompass Health in 2018 and was named the director of pharmacy in 2022.
