Chief Executive Officer
Cassidy is the chief executive officer at The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois. She has more than 15 years of experience with healthcare organizations. Most recently, Cassidy worked at Memorial Care Center in Belleville, IL where she led a team of more than 150 employees in the 82-bed facility. Cassidy received a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2007 and a master’s degree in healthcare administration in 2010. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2012 and a member of the Illinois Healthcare Association since 2011.
Director of Human Resources
Yolanda joins The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois as the human resources director. She has 10 years of experience with almost five years of that time working in healthcare settings. Most recently, Yolanda worked at SSM Health as a human resources business partner. She graduated from the University of Memphis in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Yolanda also received two master’s degrees from Webster University; one in business administration in 2005 and the other in human resources management in 2019. She is a member of the society of industrial & organizational psychology and society of human resources management.
Director of Pharmacy
Samuel has been named the director of pharmacy at The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois. He graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2014 before working as a clinical staff pharmacist for almost 10 years. Samuel previously worked at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis - St. Peters location before transitioning to our Encompass Health location in Southern Illinois.
Director of Quality & Risk
Laurie has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and 10 years of experience working in quality and compliance efforts. She serves as the director of quality & risk for The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois. Laurie received her bachelor’s degree from McKendree College in 1998 and her master’s degree in public administration and policy analysis from Southern Illinois Edwardsville in 2000. She has held a healthcare compliance certification (CHC) since 2019.
Business Development Director
Tracie serves as the business development director. She received her bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and her master's degree in social work from the University of Texas-Austin. Tracie brings more than 30 years of healthcare and 25 years of acute rehab expertise to The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois.
Director of Case Management
Jennifer brings more than 10 years of experience as a case manager to her position as director of case management for The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois. She is a dually licensed social worked in both MO and IL. She joins our team from another Encompass Health location at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis. Jennifer graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010. She then obtained her master’s degree in social work from Saint Louis University in 2012. Jennifer is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Certified Case Manager (CCM) and a Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager (C-ASWCM).
Director of Therapy Operations
Laura received her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She has spent almost 25 years working as an occupational therapist in various positions before joining the team at The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois as the director of therapy operations. Laura holds national board certifications as a licensed occupational therapist. She also participates in the IHCA’s Illinois leaders program as a part of the class of 2021. Laura is a dedicated leader and therapist and is motivated to providing exceptional care and inspiring patients to achieve their goals.
Chief Nursing Officer
Amanda serves as the chief nursing officer. She has more than 10 years of experience in nursing and nursing leadership roles. Prior to being named chief nursing officer, Amanda was the nurse manager for The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois. Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in science-nursing in 2018 and is pursuing her master’s degree in science-nursing. Amanda is also a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse. She also holds certifications/licenses in BLS, ACLS, Infection Prevention Certification and Mental Health & Dementia Specialty Training.
Controller
Cindy has been named the controller for The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois. She is a financial and business professional with over 20 years of diverse experience in financial and data analysis, forecasting, budgeting and general ledger accounting. Cindy also has more than five years experience working in the healthcare industry. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management from Webster University.
Facilities Management Director
Alan has joined the team at The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois as the facilities management director. He is a seasoned facilities management professional with hands-on maintenance as well as team leadership experience. Alan has worked in facilities management since 2001 and held positions such as biomedical equipment and facilities supervisor, supervisor and facilities manager. He has also created and worked on maintenance plans for machinery, lighting, safety, HVAC and plumbing systems. Alan obtained his bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Greenville College and is a certified six sigma green belt.
