Debbie joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill as CEO in February 2022. She brings more 25 years of leadership experience serving as president, chief operating officer, chief nursing officer and other senior leadership roles throughout her career. Debbie previously served as chief operating officer at Owensboro Health based in Owensboro, Kentucky, serving an 18 county region in Kentucky and Indiana. Prior to that role, Debbie served as senior vice president operations/chief nursing officer at Life Point Health – St. Francis/Emory in Columbus, Georgia. Debbie also served in various leadership roles including president, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer at Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola, Florida. Debbie earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama. She has served in numerous professional and community organizations including American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Florida Hospital Association Advocacy Committee, American Heart Association Heart Walk chair and executive leadership team.

Carlos Arias, M.D. joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill as medical director in 2021. He graduated from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Metropolitan Hospital Center, in New York, NY in 2018. Dr. Arias is currently board certified by the American Board of Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation. His medical interests include stroke rehab, musculoskeletal medicine, joint injections, amputations, and prosthetics.

Olan has been a physical therapist for 32 years working in acute and various post-acute rehabilitation settings. He has been in leadership role the last 18 years with extensive experience in developing programs, mentoring staff and promoting a culture of safety. He has always maintained his passion for patient care in all his roles. Olan is a strong advocate for providing excellence in patient experience and promoting employee engagement. Olan graduated from the University of South Florida with a master’s degree in public health with concentration in health policy & programs. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines.

Lisa has been with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill since 2012. Lisa brings more than 20 years of diverse healthcare experience in both nursing and management to the position. Lisa maintains her nursing license, and through her clinical knowledge, Encompass Health experience, and community involvement, she leads a team to identify needs and exceed expectations of care for our patients and their loved ones.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jack brings more than 24 years of healthcare-based plant operations experience with 15 years in a management role. He assisted in opening the hospital in 2003. Jack graduated from CHI Institute in 1992 with his diploma in HVAC technology.He holds his Certified Healthcare Engineer Certification from Florida Healthcare Engineers Associations and his Florida State Security Officers license.

Medina joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill as director of quality and risk management in March 2023. She brings strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills to her role. Medina has significant and diverse healthcare leadership experience. She was the previous director of quality, risk management and compliance at a private psychiatric hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She has experience leading multiple regulatory surveys and is passionate about patient care and improving processes to prioritize patient safety. Medina graduated from Ohio State University with a major in pharmaceutical sciences and a minor in Arabic. She further obtained her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Mary has been employed in human resources with Encompass Health since 2011 and brings multiple years of prior human resources experience to the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill team. Her experience includes multi-unit human resources management with a focus on organizational development. She serves as a human resources director preceptor and an Encompass Health executive leadership coach. In 2002, she graduated from the University of Central Florida with a master's degree in management, specializing in human resources and change management.

John has been practicing in the field of pharmacy for 30 years. He graduated with his bachelor's degree from Loyola University of Chicago and his Doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He has been employed at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill since 2003. He has been director of pharmacy since 2006 and has had the privilege of being the Southeast director of pharmacy since 2019. He is a preceptor for the Taneja College of Pharmacy at the University of South Florida.

Wilma has been in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years. After graduating with her bachelor's degree in nursing from California University of PA, she went on to earn her master's degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix in Tampa, Florida. Prior to joining Encompass Health, Wilma has experience with both acute care and rehabilitation settings as an experienced and proven leader.

Drew joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Spring Hill as controller in June 2022. With more than 20 years of financial management experience primarily within the healthcare industry, Drew is a true hands-on manager. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in accounting from Stetson University. He continues to excel as a resourceful, innovative professional in senior management.

Michael brings more than 10 years of case management experience to the Encompass Health Spring Hill team. He holds a certification in case management from the CCMC®, and has a background in intensive case management with special focus on dual diagnosis populations. Michael joined HealthSouth in 2007, and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hawaii Pacific University, and a dual master's Degree in mental health & rehabilitation counseling from the University of South Florida.
