Chief Executive Officer
Carey was named CEO of Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital in May 2018, bringing more than 18 years of experience as a physical therapist and healthcare leader to the role. Before assuming the CEO title, she served as the inpatient rehabilitation hospital’s director since 2014 and as a senior physical therapist at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital from 2004-2014. She received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of New England. Ms. Swanson is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and holds membership with American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Medical Director
Dr. Huber received his medical degree from Rowan University School of osteopathic medicine in 2014. Following graduation, he completed a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. His first four years of practicing medicine out of residency was primarily focused on outpatient musculoskeletal medicine, regenerative medicine and spasticity management in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Human Resources Director
Jason is the human resources director for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital's Little River and Murrells Inlet locations. He has more than 20 plus years’ experience in human resources leadership. In 2022 he relocated from Missouri to the greater Myrtle Beach area after leading the human resource function for a large nationally recognized organization. Jason’s enthusiasm for people development and his strong operational background help align the overall employee satisfaction experience while achieving business objectives.
Director of Therapy Operations
Lisa has been with Encompass Health since 2017. Her clinical expertise is in vestibular rehabilitation and Parkinson’s rehabilitation. She was appointed to the Colorado State Board of Physical Therapy in 2000 by the governor of Colorado in which she served for almost two years before transitioning with Encompass Health to South Carolina along with her husband, daughter and four legged friends in late 2021. Lisa was awarded her master’s degree in physical therapy in 2001 from Ohio University. She has extensive knowledge in subacute, post-acute and home health and has operated in leadership positions at both the local and regional levels since 2004.
Chief Nursing Officer
Linda is a registered nurse with more than 24 years’ nursing experience in the areas of acute care nursing and emergency room. She formerly served as the clinical director at Tidelands Health for their medical surgical/stroke unit for 10 years prior to coming to Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Linda earned a diploma in nursing from Ann May School of Nursing in Neptune, New Jersey and then furthered her education through obtaining a BSN and a MSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
Controller
Andreau has more than 22 years of experience with a variety of hospital accounting functions such as payroll, budgeting, productivity, accounts payable, month-end processes and benchmarking. Andreau graduated from the SC Hospital Association Management Academy year-long leadership program. She has achieved her associate degree in pre-business administration from Southeastern Community College; a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UNC-Wilmington; and a master’s degree in science accountancy from Liberty University.
Director of Quality & Risk
Michael is the director of quality and risk for Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital an affiliate of Encompass Health. He earned his master’s degree in nursing in 2016 from the University of Arizona. Mike has more than 23 years of nursing experience, including 11 years in leadership positions. In 2017, he and his family relocated to the North Myrtle Beach area from Michigan. He is currently a member of the South Carolina DHEC Medical Reserve Corp as well as the South Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders.
Director of Business Development
Ashley joined Encompass Health Florence in 2017 with 10 years’ experience in healthcare marketing. Having worked with nurses, case managers, administrators, physicians and patients across the continuum of care, Ashley recognizes the significance of helping patients access the appropriate level of care, at the right time, for the best possible patient outcome and low hospital readmission rates. She is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration marketing, and she is also a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. As director of marketing operations, Ashley leads a dynamic team of healthcare professionals responsible for marketing, business development, patient education and community outreach in the Pee Dee and surrounding areas of South Carolina.
Area Director of Pharmacy
Jason serves as Encompass Health’s MidAtlantic regional director of pharmacy and area director of pharmacy at Tidelands Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Strow has worked with Encompass Health since 2009. In 2010, he was awarded the outstanding employee achievement award for the MidAtlantic region of Encompass Health. Dr. Strow completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 residency in primary care pharmacy from the Huntington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. He is board certified as a Geriatric Pharmacist. Dr. Strow completed a Parkinson’s disease traineeship at Northwestern University’s Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders Center. He is also a Mayo Clinic Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist. Being an active member of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Dr. Strow is previous Chair of the Small and Rural Hospitals Section Advisory Group, previous member of the ASHP House of Delegates, and past affiliate president of the West Virginia Society of Health System Pharmacists. He is currently the Co-Chair of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Pharmacy Task Force. In his current position, Dr. Strow serves as a member of the Encompass Health Pharmacy Leadership Board and is a previous member of the Encompass Health Patient Safety Taskforce. He was chosen to be part of the Clinical Thought Leadership for Encompass Health and additionally serves as adjunct faculty at Marshall University School of Pharmacy.
