Donna has been with the Encompass Health network for more than 26 years. Before becoming the inaugural CEO at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waco in 2020, she served as the CEO of Encompass Health’s inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas for 14 years and also as the hospital’s director of human resources. Prior to working for Encompass Health, she worked in operations for an acute care hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in health services administration.

Dr. Collier joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waco team as its inaugural medical director in 2021. As a physiatrist, or a physician specialized in physical medicine and rehabilitation, he is focused on helping patients achieve a higher quality of life. Working alongside other team members in the hospital, Dr. Collier helps patients increase their strength, function and confidence after a debilitating illness or injury. He completed a bachelor’s degree in biology from Texas State University before earning his medical doctorate from the Texas A&M College of Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Collier completed an internship in internal medicine through LSU Health Sciences Center/Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge before completing his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Collier is an independent private practice physician.

Brandon has been with Encompass Health since 2017 having previously served as senior rehab liaison at Encompass Health’s hospital in Tyler, Texas. He has twenty-five years of nursing, management and sales experience. In his current role, he is responsible for the rehab liaison marketing team and admissions. He and his team are devoted to educating Waco and the surrounding communities about the benefits of inpatient rehabilitation and is passionate about helping patients reach their full potential.

Courtney joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waco in October 2022 as the human resources director. She brings with her more than a decade of human resources experience in both private and publicly traded sectors. She is devoted to ensuring a culture of collaboration and takes pride in the growth opportunities Encompass Health provides its employees. She focuses on empowering and motivating others to realize and achieve their full potential.

Karina has been employed by Encompass Health since 2017. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2012, she continued with her education and achieved a doctorate in physical therapy from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2015. After starting her career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, she transitioned and devoted herself to the inpatient rehabilitation setting within the Encompass Health network. She quickly grew into leadership beginning as a PRN physical therapist, advancing to a PT lead position and now DTO.  Karina is very proud of the opportunities that Encompass Health provides their employees and hopes to continue to foster and develop future leaders in order to set the standard in patient care.

Hector joined Encompass Health in 2017 as the regional operations coordinator for the Southwest Region. Prior to joining the Waco team in 2022, he served as the quality and risk coordinator at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cypress. In this role, he oversaw patient safety, performance improvement, environment of care and regulatory compliance. Hector brings more than 10 years of patient care and healthcare experience to his new role. Hector earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Houston and his associate degree in arts from Lone Star College. Hector is passionate about the impact patient satisfaction has on a patient’s recovery and their ability to return to the community.

Before joining Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waco in 2021 as director of case management, Sharon had served as the director of case management for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Desert Canyon in Las Vegas, Nevada since 2016. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Covenant College and her master’s degree in social work from Winthrop University. In 2017, she earned her the accreditation as a Certified Case Manager. Sharon has more than 20 years of diverse case management experience including areas of acute rehabilitation, end stage renal disease, children and family services, and victims of crime.

David joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waco in October 2021. He brings with him more than 25 years of construction and facilities management experience. Prior to this, he worked in acute care hospitals, assisted living and behavioral health facilities. David was a former fire fighter/paramedic and has a strong understanding of all life safety systems. David is passionate about maintaining the safest and cleanest environment for everyone that comes into our building.

Robert has been a part of the Encompass Health network since 2013 having previously served at Encompass Health’s hospital in Cypress, Texas. He has more than eight years of acute rehabilitation nursing experience. He is a member of both the National and Texas Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and has been a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse since 2018.

Summer has more than a decade of experience in pharmacy with a focus on transitions of care, geriatric medicine and medication reconciliation. She earned her bachelor’s degree of science at the University of Texas in San Antonio and her doctorate of pharmacy at Texas A&M Health Science Center. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and a member of American Society of Health System Pharmacists.
