Located in Montgomery and serving the tri-county area, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, amputation, hip fracture and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Dr. Jeffrey Eng is a native of New York and moved to Montgomery in 1998 to become the director of traumatic brain injury at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Montgomery. He has held the medical director position since 2001. Dr. Eng completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He also completed an internal medicine internship at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Eng is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Dr. Eng is an independent private practice physician.
Director of Quality & Risk
Rona brings with her over 24 years of experience in healthcare management and delivery. She is an Alabama native, residing in the Prattville community for the past 40+ years. She received her nursing degree from Troy University. Rona brings an array of knowledge as it relates to the quality-of-care delivery to patients, management, creation of processes as well as team building of staff of all levels. She brings with her a strong background of bedside patient care, management roles as well as more than 10 years in quality and regulatory compliance. She has held multiple leadership roles in her career and hopes to continue to build on her professional profile and training while here at Encompass Rehabilitation.
Business Development Director
Kim has been employed at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Montgomery since 1989. She received a degree in biology from Tuskegee University and later attended Troy State University's School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. Kim has worked in various positions during her tenure at the hospital but has found that nursing is her passion.
Director of Human Resources
Kim joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Montgomery team in 2007. She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources management. She oversees all areas of human resources, such as recruitment and retention. Kim graduated from Auburn University Montgomery with a bachelor’s degree in human resources.
Director of Pharmacy
Clint joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Montgomery in 2017. He is a graduate of Auburn University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy in 1993 and his doctorate degree in pharmacy degree in 1998. Clint has more than 20 years of experience in institutional pharmacy practice and management, including leadership in clinical pharmacy practice, acute care hospital operations, and health system leadership roles.
Director of Case Management
Sharlotte has been employed at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Montgomery since 1992. She has 29 years of nursing experience of which 23 years have been with HealthSouth. She has functioned in the capacity of case manager for 17 years. Sharlotte graduated with a degree in nursing from Wallace College.
Director of Therapy Operations
Seanne has been promoted to be our new director of therapy operations. She brings more than 20 years of experience providing patients the best outcomes and leadership skills. Seanne is a graduate of Alabama State University with a MSPT/DPT of physical therapy. She began her career as a physical therapist in 2003 Mercy Hospital on Oklahoma City, Ok her home state but now calls Alabama her home. In 2005 Seanne became a staff therapist at an Encompass Health outpatient facility. She quickly moved into a senior role. Seanne was promoted to therapy manager in 2006 where she served until 2018. She spent a year in home health before returning to Encompass.
