Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Perry is responsible for the day-to-day operations for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta. He began his career as a physical therapist after receiving his master’s degree in physical Therapy from Chapman University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from California Lutheran University. Perry advanced his career and most recently worked as an Enterprise vice president of an acute care system. Having worked as a hospital executive for more than 15 years and in the healthcare industry for more than 28 years, Perry has a great deal of experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Perry is passionate about ensuring patients and families have an exceptional experience when receiving care from the team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta.
Medical Director
Dr. Wang was named medical director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta in 2021.
Dr. Wang was named medical director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta in 2021. He is board certified with more than 20 years of experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Wang received his medical degree from Liaoning Medical University in Jinzhou, China. After completing his transitional year residency at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he finished his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at The State University of New York in Buffalo. Dr. Wang has earned his doctorate in physiology from University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada.
Dr. Wang is an independent private practice physician.
Human Resources Director
Claudia joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta in early March 2020. She is a dedicated human resources professional with 15 years of experience and offers an array of skills. She earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix and is pursuing her master’s degree. Claudia started her career in human resources as a 42A human resources specialist in the U.S. Army and is a decorated combat veteran.
Chief Nursing Officer
Jennifer joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta team in 2019 as a nurse. She brings 15 years of combined nursing experience from the acute and public health settings. Before being promoted to chief nursing officer, Jennifer served in the roles of relief nurse supervisor, hospital clinical educator and director of quality and risk management. Jennifer earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. She possesses certifications in public health nursing and rehabilitation nursing. Jennifer is committed to patient safety and ensuring that all patients receive quality compassionate care in addition to the best possible patient experience.
Infection Preventionist
As an infection control practitioner, Ted Ellinger keeps patients and staff safe through the use of proven techniques to prevent the spread of infectious agents in the healthcare environment. He obtained his registered nurse license in 2014 and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Ted is board certified in infection prevention and control, is a member of APIC, and has been an infection preventionist for more than six years.
Director of Facilities Management
As the director of facilities management, Shane leads the environmental services team and oversees facility maintenance, security management, environment of care and life safety. He began his career in healthcare as an engineering technician in 2004. As an active member of California Society for Healthcare Engineering with 16 years of experience in the field, Shane is devoted to make every patient’s stay as comfortable as possible and looks forward to using his knowledge to ensure that Encompass Health Rehabilitation of Murrieta continues to run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Director of Pharmacy
Eric joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Murrieta in 2020. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biological science at University of California, Riverside in 2012 and then pursued his Doctor of Pharmacy at Midwestern University, Glendale. Eric has certifications from the American Pharmacists Association in pharmacists & patient-centered diabetes care and delivering medication therapy management services. He and his team are responsible for monitoring medication use for hospitalized patients and educating patients about the medication they will be taking at home, once discharged.
Business Development Director
Chanel began at Encompass Health of Richmond, Virginia, in 2007 as a receptionist. She fulfilled numerous positions at this location, which eventually lead her into a case manager role, where she staunchly advocated for patient rights and satisfaction. In 2018, Chanel was promoted to director of case management at Encompass Health of Petersburg, Virginia, and then transitioned to the Murrieta hospital in California. Chanel earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in clinical social work and continues to advocate for the best outcomes for the hospital’s patients.
Director of Quality & Risk
Neda has more than 10 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, regulatory affairs and risk assessment management. Neda’s experience in QA, QC and regulatory affairs comes from various roles in the management of quality management systems and regulatory affairs for the medical device, pharmaceuticals and cosmetic industry. Neda has completed research within biomedical micro-electro-mechanical systems at UCI along with public health research projects at SDSU Research Foundation funded by the National Institute of Health and the National Cancer Institute. Neda holds an associate degree in natural sciences and a certificate in Environmental Sciences from Saddleback College.
Director of Therapy Operations
Eric has been practicing in the field of occupational therapy for 14 years. After obtaining a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Loma Linda University in Southern California in 2006, he began his career in inpatient therapy rehabilitation and never looked back. He found his calling in this setting, as he saw monumental changes in patients function during their rehabilitation stay. Eric also serves as a curriculum advisory to Loma Linda University Occupational Therapy program and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
