Dr. Kirksey Discusses Stroke Awareness on World Stroke Day

Dr. Keneshia Kirksey, hospital medical director, recently joined Talk of Alabama to discuss the importance of Stroke awareness in observance of World Stroke Day, which is celebrated on October 29 each year. This observance brings awareness to the serious nature of strokes and the alarming rates at which they occur. Around two-thirds of stroke survivors will require rehabilitation services to help them live fuller, more independent lives after being treated in the hospital.
