RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 18, 2023- Jim Miller has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Richmond. In his position as CEO, Miller oversees the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 5700 Fitzhugh Avenue. He assumed the position in November.

Prior to joining Encompass Health, Miller served as vice president of operations at HCA Medical City McKinney in Texas, where he oversaw various clinical and operational areas of the 311-bed hospital. In this position, he oversaw various growth initiatives including attaining a Level II trauma designation, securing a magnet designation, establishing a new 20-bed inpatient rehab, patient tower and expanding several other service lines.

Miller earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Radford University in Radford, Virginia and a master’s degree in business administration from the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
