Michael is the CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala. He brings more than 30 years of healthcare management to the team. He served as president and CEO of Atlantic General Hospital and Health System from October 2005 until November 2021. In that role, he established a unique, cyclical strategic planning process that incorporates the input of all the key stakeholders of the hospital and health system. This customer-based focus led to the successful development of programs such as the patient-centered medical home and the “ER 30 Minute Promise.” Prior to Atlantic General, Michael served as the chief operating officer of Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Patel serves as medical director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala. He studied internal medicine at the Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Patel completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Capital Health.

Dr. Patel is an independent private practice physician.

Gregoire brings more than 15 years of progressive experience in healthcare management and leadership expertise to our team. He has served as the health information manager, privacy officer and records custodian for the Florida Department of Health for 10 years. He is an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the Texas Rural Health Association. He joined Encompass Health in 2016.  He is an advocate for HIPAA rules and regulations and has streamlined many important records management, privacy and regulatory processes for our organization.

Rob has 30 years of broad financial and accounting experience spanning financial consolidations and reporting, mergers & acquisitions, planning, forecasting, analysis and shared services. Past roles include director titles with experience in manufacturing and IT infrastructure industries. Rob obtained his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in Indiana, and maintains CPA status in both Maryland and Illinois.

As the director of human resources at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala, Chinni brings more than 20 years of experience in criminal justice, human resources and healthcare management. An Ocala native, she graduated with honors from Springfield College with a bachelor’s degree in human services. Chinni is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Her passion is being a change agent for human services.

Monica is Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala’s director of therapy operations. Prior to working at Encompass Health Ocala, she served as the rehab director for Oakhurst Health where she received their national award for excellence in customer service and product development. She also led her team to department of the year and was awarded department head of the year. She has more than 17 years of experience being an occupational therapist. Monica is a graduate from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Tallahassee, Florida.

Jeff Empfield has been employed at Encompass Health Ocala since 2016. An electrician by trade, Jeff has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. Jeff is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers and the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association.

Erin serves as the business development director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala. Erin joined Encompass Health in 2020 as a rehab liaison and was quickly promoted to senior rehab liaison. As a business healthcare professional, Erin has a vast knowledge of healthcare business, professional development and clinical services. As a licensed nurse, Erin is currently pursuing furthering her education in healthcare management.

As the director of pharmacy at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala, Matthew brings experience from various practice settings including retail, specialty and hospital pharmacy services. Matthew earned his doctorate of pharmacy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Matthew is committed to maintaining medication use efficiency, reducing costs and continuing improvement of patient outcomes to provide patients with the highest level of pharmaceutical care.

Mary Anne McCreadie serves as the director of case management for Encompass Health Ocala. Mary Anne has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and hospital management. She completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing from The College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, New York. In addition she earned the Certified Case Manager designation in 2014.
