Andrew joined Encompass Health in San Antonio as CEO in 2018. He received a master’s degree in healthcare administration from St. Louis University and a bachelor’s degree from Texas State. In his 20-year healthcare career, he has worked in varied institutions including leading neurosciences in three academic medical centers, being a COO in a Level I trauma center and a CEO in a long-term acute care hospital.

Dr. Burchill is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine (SCIM) and Electrodiagnositic Medicine. He completed his PM&R residency at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, his fellowship in SCIM at Kennedy Krieger Institute / Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a post-doctoral course in spinal interventional procedures through Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. He brings 30 years of clinical experience to Encompass Health.

Dr. Burchill is an independent private practice physician.

Patti comes to Encompass Health San Antonio from Post Acute Medical, where she worked in longterm acute care. She graduated magna cum laude, Sigma Theta Tau from The University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and has experience in surgery, law, case management and finance.

Bonnie Mann brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of San Antonio. She joined the Encompass Health network in 2017. Prior to her career with Encompass Health, Bonnie served in various nursing roles including critical care nursing, management, education, employee health and infection prevention. She graduated from UTHSC San Antonio, Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree and subsequent Master of Science in nursing degree. She currently maintains the designations of Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse and Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Healthcare Professional. Bonnie takes pride in ensuring that patients receive quality care that centers on the patient experience and safety.

Sarah Peña received a bachelor's degree in nursing from The University of the Incarnate Word in 2012. She joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of San Antonio immediately following graduation. Sarah has both clinical and management experience. She works closely with all departments to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Andrew Posey has been an occupational therapist for 24 years. He is new to Encompass Health and brings 12 years of management experience from HCA. He recently achieved his Master of Science in healthcare administration. His goal is to ensure Encompass Health San Antonio patients receive the best possible rehabilitation services.

Larry Spriggs serves as controller and has more than 22 years of progressive healthcare financial management experience, including acute care, behavioral health and inpatient rehabilitation. Throughout his career, Larry has assisted in opening three hospitals, functioned as an internal auditor and has held area and regional CFO positions. A certified public accountant, Larry joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of San Antonio in December 1994. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting and a master’s degree in business administration.

Vanessa Tejada has worked in human resources as either a manager or director for over 15 years. She received a bachelor’s degree in history/political science from St. Mary’s University. Vanessa has been PHR certified by the Society for Human Resource Management since 2002. She has been with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of San Antonio since December 2005. Prior to joining Encompass Health San Antonio, she served as director of human resources for Souper Salad, Inc.

Wen-Song (Wayne) Yue joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation of San Antonio in 2018 and brought more than 9 years of hospital pharmacy experience. Wayne received his bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from UT-Austin. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Magna Cum Laude at The Ohio State University. He completed a pharmacy residency at Cincinnati VA medical center to specialize in hospital clinical pharmacy. He has served as senior assistant scientist at Pfizer, and as clinical pharmacist and Director of Pharmacy at Post-Acute Medical and Methodist Hospital.
