Christopher was named CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport in April 2024. He previously served as the director of therapy operations in Shreveport since its opening in 2021 and also spent time as the interim regional director of therapy for the South Central region in 2023. Prior to this, he spent three years as a director of therapy services at a local inpatient rehabilitation hospital. A native of Shreveport, Christopher earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2010 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport and a master’s degree in business administration from LSU Shreveport in 2017. Christopher brings a wealth of therapy knowledge to the Encompass Health Shreveport team and has a passion for creating a positive workplace culture and bringing out the best in others.

Dr. Pham became the medical director of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport in November 2023. Prior to that, he was assistant medical director at encompass since December 2019. Dr. Pham is board certified family medicine with three years of physical medicine and rehabilitation through Encompass Rehabilitation. Dr. Pham completed his residency at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport. After graduating he stayed in Shreveport working at different medical centers including urgent care centers and the VA hospital. He continues to work part time at the VA in the emergency room taking care of our veteran population. Dr. Pham also received his master's degree in health administration in 2021 and completed his health and wellness certification from Harvard Medical School in 2023.

Dr. Pham is an independent private practice physician.

Sam, a native to the Shreveport, Louisiana area, serves as the business development director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry with 10 years in business development. Sam originally started his career as a respiratory therapist at local trauma center and was later promoted to director of cardiopulmonary, radiology and lab services. After a few years in this role, he became very interested in marketing and became the business development director for a local healthcare hospital that consisted of three campuses. In 2016, he graduated from Louisiana Tech University with his Executive MBA degree. He is excited to use his role to help others recover from a life-altering illness or injury.

Suzanne serves as the Director of Quality and Risk Management for the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport. She has more than 30 years of experience in hospital healthcare leadership roles, including the fields of health information management, quality, risk management, infection control, patient and environmental safety, regulatory compliance and medical staff services. She earned her master’s degree in healthcare administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport and her bachelor’s degree in health information management from Louisiana Tech University. She strives to continually improve patient outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction through her role by collaborating with the entire healthcare team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport.

Sheryl has been a member of the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport team since it opened in August 2021. She has more than 20 years of experience as a case manager working in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation environments. She has worked in healthcare for 30 years. Sheryl has a master’s degree in social work and is a licensed clinical social worker. She especially enjoys working with the elderly population.

Shannon joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport team in 2021 when the hospital opened. She was occupational therapy team leader for three years and was promoted to director of therapy operations in 2024. Shannon graduated with a master's degree in occupational therapy degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport in 2009. She has worked in inpatient rehabilitation for 13 years. As a former teacher, she has a passion for educating others and believes in empowering others to reach their greatest potential. She continues to build our metrics and maintains our Shreveport OT team as #1 in the country in outcome measures!

Jeanine joins Encompass Health as the chief nursing officer with over 30 years of experience in clinical, operational and leadership roles gained while serving in the United States Air Force. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Langston University, a master’s degree at the University of Phoenix and a post-master’s nurse practitioner certificate at the University of South Florida.

Danny Patel, PharmD is the director of pharmacy at Encompass Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in 2017. Since graduating, Danny has held multiple roles within Walgreens Pharmacy as a staff pharmacist, area MTM manager, and Rite Aid project liaison. In addition, he also held a position as an inpatient pharmacist at an intensive specialty hospital. His professional interests include implementing strategic programs to improve patient and medication safety and patient adherence.

Melissa is a Shreveport/Bossier native and has eight years of human resource experience, with six of those years fully devoted to healthcare HR practices. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She earned her master’s degree in business administration with a human resource concentration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2017 and obtained a master’s degree in healthcare administration December 2023. She finds fulfillment in motivating and coaching others towards excellence in all areas of their careers.

Curtis joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shreveport in March of 2021 as the director of facilities management. He has more than 15 years of maintenance management and safety experience, with the last eight years being devoted to healthcare. Curtis earned an associate degree in fire science and emergency management from Purdue Global University and is currently enrolled in South Eastern Oklahoma State University for a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety. He strives to maintain a safe and positive environment for all patients, visitors and staff during their visits and stays at the hospital.
