David has served as chief executive officer of St. John Rehabilitation Hospital since August 2015. David first joined Encompass Health in 2001 as a registered nurse. He has spent the majority of his healthcare career within the rehabilitation and hospice settings. David has held various leadership positions within Encompass Health, including associate administrator of Encompass Health in Jonesboro, Ark. and chief nursing officer of Encompass Health in Midland, Texas. A graduate of Angelo State University, David completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in nursing. David’s focus is to continuously improve the hospital’s performance to exceed the expectations of patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.

Dr. Taneja specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation and has more than 15 years of experience in the field of inpatient rehabilitation. She is currently working as a medical director at St. John Rehabilitation Hospital and previously worked as medical director at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma and at Ascension St. John Jane Phillips in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She graduated from medical school in 2003. She finished her PM&R residency from Washington University in St. Louis in 2009 and came to work in Tulsa where she remains today. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care to patients suffering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries and fractures. She has been board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the ABPMR since 2009.

Dr. Taneja is an independent private practice physician.

Doyle is a Broken Arrow, Oklahoma native. After graduating from Broken Arrow high school, and attending Northeastern State University and trade school, Doyle obtained his State Mechanical License in 1990. Doyle spent more than 25 years with a mechanical construction company, serving as field supervisor and safety coordinator. He also received OSHA certification in occupational safety and health training in general industry safety and health. Doyle joined the Encompass Health team in June 2018 as a senior maintenance tech, before being promoted to maintenance supervisor. In 2021, Doyle was promoted to facilities management director where he happily still serves.

Christi joined Encompass Health in 2022 and was promoted to the role of human resources director in 2023. Christi holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute. Her passion is to foster a positive and inclusive workplace, which supports her team to feel confident in their individual professional growth.

Susan has served as chief nursing officer of St. John Rehabilitation Hospital since August 2016. She was previously the nurse manager for Bernsen Rehabilitation Center at St. John Medical Center for the last eleven years. Susan has spent most her sixteen-year nursing career in the rehabilitation setting. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), and has her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Western Governors University. Susan is looking forward to continuing to serve the Tulsa and surrounding area patient population in the rehabilitation setting by providing quality patient care with excellent patient outcomes.

Cindy serves as the director of pharmacy and joined the team in June 2018. She is a graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy with her bachelor's degree in pharmacy and her Doctorate of Pharmacy. She also earned her master's degree in business administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Cindy has more than 20 years of pharmacy practice experience varying among community, home infusion, acute care, critical access, long-term acute care and rehabilitation. Cindy is very passionate about her profession and strives for excellent patient outcomes through safe medication management.

Jonathan has been with Encompass Health since 2013, serving in various therapy and quality roles in both Texas and Oklahoma. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and received his master’s in healthcare administration from Oklahoma State University. Outside of his role as the director of quality, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports and traveling.

Rebekah has been chief financial officer with Encompass Health since August 2012, starting at the Fort Smith, Ark hospital and transferring to St. John Rehabilitation Hospital in May 2016. Rebekah has 18 years of healthcare accounting experience varying between acute in-patient, home health, hospice, the State Advantage Wavier program and rehabilitation. A graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, she has completed her Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in accounting. Rebekah continually strives to work closely with the chief executive officer in improving the hospital’s performance and support the leadership team with the information they need to successfully complete their job.

Jennifer graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1992 with her master’s degree in communication disorders. The first 24 years of her career were spent with St. John Health Systems in the Bernsen Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. In addition to rehabilitation, she worked across various departments including acute care, outpatient and home health, giving her a unique perspective on patient progression and outcomes. She joined Encompass Health with the joint venture from St. John in 2016 and transitioned to the director of therapy operations in March 2023. She has a passion for working with patients with neurological issues and strives to see them return to their homes and families.

Marcia, a Memphis, Tennessee native, brings more than 25 years of experience in case management and serves as the case management director for St. John Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health. She joined the team in February 2023 and previously worked across the United States as a travel social worker in case management for acute care hospitals for over four years. Before travel, she worked at Northeast Georgia Health Systems in case management where she served as interim team lead. Marcia has made it her mission to provide a continuum of care to her patients. She meets challenges with complex cases to resolve discharge planning barriers and strives for excellence in patient satisfaction. She obtained her bachelor's degree and a master's degree in social work within the University of Tennessee college systems along with a master's degree in business administration from Florida Institute of Technology in 2013. Shortly after starting with Encompass Health, she successfully obtained her certification as a case manager from CCMC. Marcia is driven, compassionate and a strong advocator for patient care.
