Hospital Happenings

Dejanel Register

Dejanel Register did not expect his busy life to be disrupted by a traumatic spinal cord injury. After just eight days in the acute care hospital, Dejanel arrived at Encompass Health Braintree to begin his recovery process.

Demonstrating his strong work ethic while working with his physical and occupational therapists, Dejanel has been a role model of motivation, positive attitude and a quiet determination to return to his work, his family and his life. Initially unable to move his four limbs, Dejanel has greatly progressed with his mobility, dressing, eating and writing. Dejanel has especially benefited from and enjoyed the use of several functional electrical stimulation devices for his arms and legs. “Overall, everything has gotten much easier. And I have two really good teachers, Emily (OT) and Marie (PT).”

We all wish Dejanel the best of luck as he continues on his road to independence!
