After an infection led to an emergency double amputation, Harold King was left in a wheelchair unable to walk. When Harold moved from Georgia to Charleston, South Carolina, he started working with a new prosthetics team who recommended he try inpatient therapy at MUSC Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Our team helped Harold do something he had not done in two years—stand on his two legs and walk. He learned how to attach his prostheses correctly, how to care for his residual limbs and how to go up and down stairs. We are proud to say he is now able to walk with just a cane. Congratulations, Harold!
