Devon Spivey faced the challenges of limb loss with determination after he was admitted to a hospital after feeling short of breath and passing out. The 38-year-old was in cardiogenic shock, suffered a cardiac arrest and experienced other complications that required both legs to be amputated below the knees and the loss most of the fingers on his right hand. Devon credits his Encompass Health team and his prosthetic team at RJ Rosenberg for helping him recover after such a traumatic event. Today, Devon walks with ease on his two prosthetic legs and works full time as a mechanical engineer. He has even taken up sled hockey!
