David suffered a stroke in March. Once ready for rehabilitation, David chose Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sewickley for his care. He worked hard during his therapy sessions to reach his goal of walking again.

With the assistance of his physical therapist, Brandon Shotter, David participated in gait training with the use of the Vector Gait & Safety System. This system enables the rehabilitative team to increase patient mobility while preventing falls and reducing the risk of injury. The Vector provides a customized gait training solution for patients of all levels. Through the use of this advanced technology, as well as the expertise of Encompass Health team members, David was able to return home and back to the community. Encompass Health Sewickley holds Disease-Specific Care Certification from The Joint Commission in stroke rehabilitation.
