April is Occupational Therapy Month. Encompass Health RIT employee Joshua Hester answered a few questions to share what life is like as an OT.
"I knew that if I came to work for Encompass Health, I'd be making myself into the best OT that I could be. Not only are there amazing patients to learn from, but there is an exceptional team of therapists here that would help me improve my knowledge and skills. I very much value the privilege it is to witness and learn from our patients’ journeys," he said. "To me, the best thing about working at Encompass Health is working closely with such a skilled and caring team. I learn a lot from the other occupational therapists, and from the physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, physicians and nurses. The inter-professional collaboration that occurs here is what I believe makes the largest positive impact in improving our patients' lives."
