Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Beth Lynch is the CEO at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, a Joint Venture with Monmouth Medical Center, formerly HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in communication disorders from Eastern Washington University. Beth joined the HealthSouth team in 2003 as a speech language pathologist at HealthSouth Valley of the Sun in Arizona. She has experience in program development, marketing and leadership following her tenure as the director of therapy operations at Encompass Health of The Woodlands. Beth utilizes her skills in operational management and prioritizes patient-focused care to deliver exceptional patient experiences and functional outcomes.
Dr. Cooperman is a graduate of the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at The City College of New York and The State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his internship at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut, an affiliate of the Yale University School of Medicine and New York Medical College, and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. He has been the medical director of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, a Joint Venture with Monmouth Medical Center, formerly HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls since 2005. Additionally, he serves as the section chief of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Monmouth Medical Center and is a clinical assistant professor of medicine in the department of medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine. He received the 2007 HealthSouth Medical Leadership award and the 2011 HealthSouth Medical Director of the Year Award. He was honored as a 2012 New Jersey Monthly Jersey Choice Top Doctor.
Todd Cooperman, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Director of Therapy Operations
Sarina oversees Encompass Health Tinton Falls, formerly HealthSouth Tinton Falls’ on-site inpatient and outpatient therapy services as well as the rehabilitation services at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, N.J. Sarina received her master’s degree in occupational therapy from New York University and her bachelor’s degree in biology from Villanova University. Sarina joins Encompass Health Tinton Falls from the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, following 13 years in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, where she most recently served as clinical manager of the brain injury unit. In addition to extensive continuing education, Sarina has presented at local, regional and national forums on topics such as traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, medication management, cognitive rehabilitation, evaluation and treatment of visual impairments, burns, caregiver training and community reintegration. She has been published on the treatment of burns in Advance for OT. Sarina holds a specialty certification in administration of the A-ONE (Arnadottir OT-ADL Neurobehavioral Evaluation).
Jim joined Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth in August 2018 with over 20 years of financial experience in the healthcare industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seton Hall University and a master’s degree in finance from Monmouth University. Prior to joining Encompass Health, Jim has served in various financial managerial roles at Atlantic Health, Monmouth Medical Center and Mountainside Hospital. His experience in healthcare includes both acute care hospitals and physician practices.
Director of Case Management
Cheryl joined Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth in July 2013 with more than 30 years of experience in acute care discharge planning and case management. Throughout her career she has held various clinical and management positions, most recently director of case management and social services at Raritan Bay Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in public health administration from the University of Medicine and Dentistry and received Certification in Case Management Administration in 2011. Cheryl is a member of both the national and New Jersey chapters of the Case Management Society of America, as well as the American Case Management Association. She is committed to improving transitions of care for our patients and has fostered excellent working relationships with the acute care hospitals, post acute facilities, the VNA and many other community organizations.
Director of Plant Operations
Keith joined Encompass Health Tinton Falls, formerly HealthSouth Tinton Falls in the spring of 2017 with more than 20 years of experience in project management and safety compliance in healthcare. He began his career in long term care working as a supervisor of housekeeping while in college. During this time, Keith continually grew in his role as he furthered his education and worked his way up to a director position. His healthcare experience includes skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living. Keith obtained his bachelor’s degree in business management from New Jersey City State University.
Business Development Director
Doug has extensive business development experience where he has most recently served as regional director of sales and marketing for Preferred Care Partners Management Group. In addition, he secured Accountable Care Organization preferred provider status for multiple skilled nursing facilities. Doug’s healthcare experience covers a broad spectrum including ambulance services, independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facilities. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Monmouth University and is a Mesa, Arizona, leadership graduate.
Director of Pharmacy
Reeya oversees the inpatient pharmacy services at Encompass Health Tinton Falls, formerly HealthSouth Tinton Falls. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and started her career with the Encompass Health network as a pharmacy intern in Virginia in 2007. In 2009, she joined the team at Encompass Health Tinton Falls. She takes pride in the extensive pharmacy involvement with patients, physicians and nurses in an acute rehabilitation setting. In addition, she is committed to improve medication management , increase awareness of appropriate use of antimicrobials and promote safe use of medications.
Director of Human Resources
Lori Skowrenski brings 26 years of experience in human resources with more than 10 years as a human resources director. She completed a master’s degree in business management, a PHR designation and her undergraduate degree in business. Lori has worked for various companies to gain her expertise and wealth of information from companies such as Prudential, Credit Union of New Jersey and Navicore, and has also worked in HR consulting. Lori has been with Encompass Health Tinton Falls, formerly HealthSouth Tinton Falls as director of human resources since March 2017. She brings value to the hospital’s staffing, onboarding, coaching, development and employee engagement processes.
Director of Quality
Deanna began her career with Encompass Health Tinton Falls, formerly HealthSouth Tinton Falls, as a physical therapy student in 2012. Throughout her career with Encompass Health she has served as a physical therapist, the center coordinator for clinical education for physical therapy students, and as a senior physical therapist before training in quality and risk management in early 2019. Due to her passion for treating those with neurological disorders, Deanna developed the hospital’s Parkinson’s Disease Rehabilitation Program in 2015, which earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Disease-Specific Care Certification in 2016. Deanna earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University and her Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Immaculata University. She has been designated a neurologic clinical specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
