Oct. 29, 2024 - Mindy Hong has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington. The hospital is an 85-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 3200 Matlock Road in Arlington, Texas. Encompass Health of Arlington holds The Joint Commission Disease-Specific Certification for stroke, pulmonary, spinal cord, hip fracture, cardiac and amputee rehabilitation.
As a licensed occupational therapist, Hong brings experience in acute care and outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Most recently, Hong was the program director of inpatient rehabilitation and director of therapy for HCA Healthcare at Medical City Arlington. She was responsible for strategic planning, business development and process improvement initiatives.
“Mindy is an experienced healthcare leader with a proven track record for operational excellence, improving patient care and understanding regulatory compliance,” said Brad Kennedy, president of Encompass Health’s South Central region. “Her demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients, hospital management, physicians and various stakeholders will allow us to continue providing high-level, compassionate care in the Arlington area.”
Hong has a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree in health care administration from The University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Texas. Hong also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Six Sigma Global Institute.
