June 8, 2023 - Beth Sarfaty has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, a joint venture with Monmouth Medical Center. In her position as CEO, Sarfaty oversees the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 2 Centre Plaza. She assumed the position in March.
Prior to joining Encompass Health, Sarfaty served in various clinical and leadership positions with Select Medical throughout her career. She most recently served vice president of rehabilitative services in the LTACH division of Select Medical. In this role, she oversaw the rehabilitation departments within the LTAC hospitals nationally, with a focus on developing and expanding programs.
“As a licensed physical therapist, Beth brings more than 30 years of experience to our healthcare system,” said Pat Tuer, president of Encompass Health’s Northeast region. “She is an accomplished leader with proven success in improving patient outcomes, and I am excited to welcome her to her new CEO role.”
Sarfaty earned her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Northeastern University and her master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in healthcare management from Regis University. She also obtained a graduate certificate in healthcare leadership and management from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.
