Chief Executive Officer
Brian joined Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in April 2024 after having spent the last 20 years of his career in various healthcare leadership roles. Brian served as corporate director of post-acute performance at Christiana Care in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, he managed strategic planning and implementation efforts for improving relationships and outcomes with over 80 post-acute care providers. Brian also previously served as CEO of Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania. Since joining Encompass Health, he has enjoyed supporting and giving back to his hometown community by serving on various boards and organizations.
Medical Director
After serving as interim medical director for a year, Dr. Burke was officially named as medical director at Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in April 2007. In addition, he is also the medical director at the Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Dr. Burke has an interest in bio-ethics and has published several articles that address physician ethics and spirituality as it relates to medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is an associate in the General Internal Medicine Department at Geisinger Medical Center and the chief patient experience officer for Geisinger Health System. Dr. Burke holds degrees from the University of Scranton and the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Burke is an independent private practice physician.
Controller
Eric joined Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in August 2022. He brings more than 10 years of accounting and financial management experience with a primary focus on operating results and profitability driven by process improvements. Eric graduated from West Virginia University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting.
Director of Therapy Operations
Patrick began his career with Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in 2005 as an outpatient staff physical therapist. In January 2007 he became the site coordinator of the largest outpatient site in the Geisinger Encompass Health system. Then, in December 2010 he became the director of outpatient operations. Lastly, he was promoted in July of 2013 as the director of therapy operations overseeing inpatient, outpatient and acute care therapy operations. Patrick received his doctor of physical therapy from the University of Scranton in 2013.
Director of Quality & Risk
Jacqui joined the leadership team at Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in 2014 as the director of quality and risk management. Dedicated to achieving quality outcomes in patient care, Jacqui brings more than 30 years of diverse healthcare management experience including acute, long term, home and rehabilitative care.
Facilities Manager Director
Greg joined Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in April 2010 bringing with him 25 years of emergency services experience and 15 years of management experience. Greg has an associate degree from Penn College and also serves as safety officer for the rehab hospital.
Director of Contracted Therapy Services
Austin began his career with Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in 2009 as an acute staff physical therapist. As a staff therapist, Austin focused much of early part of his career within the critical care units. In 2013, he was promoted to the therapy manager of acute care therapy overseeing therapy services for Geisinger Medical Center, Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital and staff working on the LTACH within GMC. In 2021, Austin was promoted to the director of contracted therapy services.
Chief Nursing Officer
Joining Geisinger Encompass Health’s leadership team in September 2014, Lillian brought more than 26 years of nursing and nurse management experience in telemetry and ICU acute care. She holds a diploma in nursing from Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic, a bachelor's degree in nursing from Western Governors University and a master's degree in nursing leadership and management from Western Governors University.
Director of Case Management
Jessica has been the director of case management for Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital since April 2011. She brings with her 10 years of case management experience. Jess and her team of certified case managers work closely with the interdisciplinary team, team of rehabilitation physiatrists, the patients and their families to focus on returning patients back to the community setting and helping them regain their independence and quality of life. Jess and her team ensure the appropriate referrals are made for the patient to be successful at home. Jess holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in women's studies from Bloomsburg University. Jess completed her certified case management certification (CCM) in September 2017.
Human Resources Director
Chris joined the Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital senior management team in 2003. She is a veteran in human resources, having worked in the field since 1988 and in human resources management since 1994. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Prior to beginning her career, Chris attended Williamsport Area Community College (WACC) in the business management program.
Business Development Director
Amy comes to Geisinger Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital with 20 years’ of healthcare marketing experience in central and northeast Pennsylvania. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bloomsburg University and a master’s degree in business administration degree from The University of Scranton. In her role, she oversees all hospital marketing, advertising and business development efforts, overseeing a team of nurse and licensed clinical social worker liaisons who assess patients for possible admission.
