FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Nov. 12, 2024- Matt Pearson has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Franklin. The 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 1000 Physicians Way in Franklin, Tennessee.

Pearson has held healthcare leadership roles since 2008, working for Encompass Health for almost five years. Pearson was previously the CEO for Encompass Health of Chattanooga and Encompass Health of Northern Virginia. His healthcare experience also includes managing long-term, acute care hospitals in the Atlanta market.

“Matt has a proven track record in meeting and exceeding financial and operational goals,” said Troy DeDecker, president of Encompass Health’s Central region. “He excels in making strategic advancements in patient quality of care, managing clinical teams and personnel development. We are excited for him to lead our Franklin team in providing high-quality, compassionate care for Tennessee residents.”

Pearson holds three master’s degrees in health informatics, business administration and health administration. During his three-year tenure at Encompass Health of Northern Virginia, Pearson led the hospital to win the President’s Circle, Marketing Team of the Year and Service Excellence awards, which are corporate recognitions of Encompass Health.
